Placeholders reperesent information that would be generated (dynamically when a policy number is generated.).Find below the placeholders that can be used.Placeholders are specified inside policy number template.

Note:Each placeholder should be preceded with a colon.

:YEAR Year placeholder: this placeholder is used to insert he current year into a policy number

:SERIAL Serialnumber placeholder: this placeholder is used to insert a serial number into the policy number

A template is a combination of any character with any placeholder

Find below examples of how to create a policy number template with placeholders

YEAR LENGTH controls the length of the year generated by the year placeholder and starts counting from the right.

SERIAL NUMBER controls the length of the serial number generated by the serial placeholder

RESET SEQUENCE specifies if the sequence should be reset or not.

RESET PERIOD specifies if the sequence should be reset on monthly or yearly basis.
